Hi there,

Well, wouldn't you know it? Taxes are due, kids are getting
raging fevers and I'm supposed to be on a plane in the
morning. Ahh..the life of a stay at home parent and
entrepreneur.

But forget about me, let's talk about one of my subscribers.
His name is Gary and he has a problem you might be able to
related to. He asked...

Hi Alice my biggest issue is in reading all the different
articles on 'seo' content and content is king and everybody
talks about 50 to 300 pages just totally blows me away. How
do write all those pages if your not a writer? I am 60 years
young and started a new career on the Internet 3 years ago.

*ANSWER*

Hi Gary and congratulations on taking the big leap at your
young age. All it takes is some focus, continuous education
and whole lot of hard work and you can do it. :)

Well, the thing is...content is king, queen or however you'd
prefer to say it. There's a number of reasons for this:

1. The more pages you have out there, the more likely it is
your prospects will find you. Whether it's through search
engines, advertising or word of mouth...the further you
reach, the easier it is to find you.

2. Content is great search engine food. People come to the
Internet for one main thing and that's INFORMATION. If you
can provide very specific and targeted information for your
prospects, search engines will pick it up and display it in
their search results.

3. Content is an effective relationship-builder with your
visitors. If you can help them solve a problem, it creates
trust in you and helps establish you as an expert.

4. Content pre-sells your readers to buy your products or to
buy products through your affiliate links. Again, people
want INFORMATION. They need their problems solved. If you
can help someone with a problem and find the solution (which
is a product recommendation)...it makes your selling all the
easier.

So, maybe you already knew this and it sounds like your
having more trouble getting the content out there. Well, the
simple answer is ---

You don't write your own content. At least not all your
content. If you did, you'd be writing and researching
forever. When could you get your other marketing tasks done?

There are more and more article-writing services popping up
all over the place. I would hesitate to recommend one
because I haven't used one. But certainly, you can ask
around for recommendations. For me, I have found a few great
writers by posting jobs at Elance and I pay about $6
per article.

There are many people who are good researchers and
writers...and they whip out articles like crazy. So, if
you're not a writer, why not hire someone who is?

You can post a job on Elance (it doesn't cost anything) or
you can do a search on Google for 'article writing service'
and see what you can find. You can always find quality
articles from $5-10 a pop.

Whatever you do, don't let your lack of interest in writing
stop you from running a successful online business. We all
have challenges, weaknesses and some things that we just
plain old hate doing. That is why a wise entrepreneur will
always give those tasks to someone else.
