This week I want to write to you about affiliate program
conversion rates. Whether you're an affiliate or an
affiliate
manager, it's probably on your mind.
I recently had an affiliate of one of my non-internet
marketing
sweetie products send significant traffic to the product
page.
That's great right? I thought so too, but quickly realized
my
excitement would be short lived.
In this particular case the affiliate was sending high
amounts of
visitors to my site via an email list. However those
visitors
weren't converting to buyers. I did some testing of the page
with
different types of traffic and found that the traffic I sent
WAS
converting well.
So, where does the problem lie, with the affiliate or the
sales page?
Could be a combination of both and after doing a bit of
testing on
my end I have found ways to convert traffic no matter where
it
comes from.
As a product owner, who values my affiliates, it's
impossible to
simply point the finger at my affiliates when their
conversion
rates are low. Instead, I take care of the problems on my
end
and let them know what will and what won't work on their
end.

affiliates are a huge part of your product's success.
If you don't do your part to convert the visitors they send
you
over to buyers AND show your affiliates what works and what
doesn't, you'll end up with lots of traffic, but very few
sales.
