I hear this particular question asked by so many people just starting their online businesses. My reader wrote and asked:

“There is so much to absorb in starting a online business, that I don’t know what to start with first! When a person is new to all this, you just seem to just go around in circles. I would love some kind of checklist for beginners. Thank You.”

Here’s a basic checklist of things that you should do when you first start your Internet Business. It sounds simplistic, but the important thing is to get started. With Internet Marketing, it’s relatively easy and affordable to “learn on the job”, so go through these steps and get things moving.

- Choose Your Target Market – Do your research and decide who you will you market your product or services to? The more detailed you get with this, the better you will be able to reach your customers and provide them with what they need.

- Decide what you are going to sell and how - Will you be selling services or goods? Will you be promoting affiliate products or creating info products?

- Purchase a domain and web hosting. You’ll also probably want a mailing list provider, so that you can email and follow-up with our list.

- Now, it’s time to get your hands dirty and your feet wet. Once you have those things done, you’re ready to set up your website and get things rolling.

- Build up your traffic (you did get f r e e access to my Truth about Traffic course when you signed up for this newsletter) and improve your marketing as you go along the way.

The important thing is to get started and start learning. Your first project doesn’t have to be your life’s work nor does it have to make you a whole bunch of money. The point is to get started!
