Hi there,

Something really bugs me and perhaps it bugs you too...or
you might be able to tell me where I'm missing something and
am completely out-to-lunch. Whether you are an affiliate
marketer or you manage your own affiliate program (I hope
you're at least doing one of those things to maximize your
online income)...here's something to think about.

Recently, an affiliate program decided to suspend my
affiliate account because I hadn't placed their links on my
site yet. This isn't the first time I've seen this happen
with affiliate programs, but it just doesn't make any
marketing sense to me. Here's what they told me and my
response:

seen the response I got later that day. The gentlemen was
kind and responsive to my suggestions, but the reasoning
behind the decision to suspend affiliates still isn't clear

Let me know what you think. Does suspending your affiliates
streamline the process? What responsibilities do affiliate
managers have to their affiliates? How would you feel if
your account got suspended on a product you were planning to
promote?
